Fitness Goddess Paige Martindell in Big Sur

Meeting the best friends you never knew you needed - in places you’ve never been. All around magic.

We recently explored Big Sur with Dallas fitness goddess Paige Martindell. Captured in her natural element, she spills the secrets on her glowing skin and building her brand from a place of authenticity.

If Big Sur were a soundtrack, what would it be?

Mumford & Sons 'Babel' or Maggie Rogers' 'Heard It In A Past Life', hands down.

Can you elaborate on the spiritual energy of Big Sur?

I felt so connected to nature in a way that I haven't been in awhile. Our night at the beach, when the sun was setting, we were chasing the little light that was left in the cove. We ran into the freezing ocean, fully clothed, sand flying everywhere; I haven't felt that alive in a long time.

For someone traveling to this magical place for the first time, what’s one thing they can’t miss?

It's quite the adventure to say the least, but one of the highlights for me was Esalen Hot Springs. We showed up at midnight for our reservation, and skinny dipped under the starriest pacific coast sky. I will never forget how many belly laughs we had that night.

We love watching your fitness business grow and admire your ability to be so brave, open and inspirational on your social media! What is your advice in promoting yourself?

AUTHENTICITY. This is so crucial in a world that's telling you to be 100 different versions of yourself. Stay true to exactly who you are, because there is no one else exactly like you out there. This is what has helped me truly grow. I haven't always been confident in who I am, but I am now and it can be really encouraging to share that. Confidence is healthy. I'm confident in my faith, my worth, my purpose, and I hope that what I share via IG, can inspire other women to know their worth as well.

Your healthy glow is something we all aspire to. What’s your secret?

I try to get as much as I can from Whole Foods. I eat high protein, high fat and low carb. I drink A LOT of liquids (lemon water is constantly in my water bottle), and I take really great care of my skin because I love fresh glowing skin. I truly think it's all the sweating I do that keeps me glown' :)

How would you describe Sol Society?

Meeting the best friends you never knew you needed — in places you've never been. All around magic. I hadn't been on a trip like that since I was a child, where I went in not knowing many of the girls I was traveling with. I left with incredible new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Big Sur was a monumental trip for me!
